Middle school student facing charges for attempting to rob classmate at knifepoint

MIDDLETOWN, Del. (WPVI) -- A 12-year-old student from Delaware faces multiple charges for attempting to rob a classmate at knifepoint.

It happened at the Louis L. Redding Middle School in Middletown on January 12.

The school reported to State Police that the young boy confronted another 12-year-old boy in a school bathroom, demanding his personal property.

The victim ran away unharmed.

The suspect has been suspended from school.
